AFP-WI Responds to Tax Negotiations
Madison, WI — Americans for Prosperity–Wisconsin (AFP–WI) issued the following statement regarding the negotiated tax package announced this week.
AFP-WI State Director Megan Novak issued the following statement:
“Governor Evers’ 400-year property tax hike veto has made long-term property tax relief difficult. While Republicans have provided hundreds of millions in tax relief over the last decade, Democrats simply love raising taxes too much to offer serious solutions for families and small businesses across the state.
“This is exactly why they have refused to end the 400-year property tax hike at every possible chance, including in these negotiations. This November we have a choice; either we continue indulging the socialist fantasies that led to the 400-year property tax hike, or we right the ship, provide permanent tax relief, and make Wisconsin a true beacon of freedom in the Midwest by electing Tom Tiffany for Governor.”
